Frederick Avery Johnson (January 2, 1833 – July 17, 1893) was a United States Representative from New York.
Born in Fort Edward, New York, Johnson attended the common schools and graduated from Glens Falls Academy in nearby Glens Falls, New York. He engaged in banking and in the wool business in New York City and later in banking in Glens Falls. He served as president of the village of Glens Falls.
Johnson was elected as a Republican to the Forty-eighth and Forty-ninth Congresses (March 4, 1883 - March 3, 1887). He was not a candidate for renomination in 1886.
Johnson died on July 17, 1893, in Glens Falls and is buried in Bay Street Cemetery.
